Starters & Antipasto

 

Salads

 

Fresh summer salad- An arrangement of cucumber and pineapple with plush red tomatoes tossed with a coriander sweet chilli dressing

Hungarian potato salad – traditional potatoes tossed in a mustard mayo withcelery and crunchy walnuts

Greek salad – crispy garden greens tossed with tomatoes, tangy olives and peppadewsthen drizzled with a balsamic vinegar

Beetroot salad –cubed beetroot tossed with diced onions and lentils then drizzled with a vinegar dressing and topped with fresh coriander

Carrot salad – julienne carrots tossed with raisins and sweet figs then drizzled with champagne and orange juice

There are many exciting new salads created and prepared on a daily basis, these are just a few to get the taste buds rocking .

 

Antipasto

 

Mussel vinaigrette - ocean fresh mussels tossed with a coriander and chilli dressing

Frittata –sweetcorn and cream cheese baked in an egg custard and topped with watercress.

Quiche – Sauteed brown mushroom baked in a egg custard, topped with rich cheese and drizzled with a tomato chutney

Pork porchetta –sliced pork topped with a caper mayo, garden fresh rocket and roasted peppers

We like to experiment with flavours and expand our range of Antipasto daily, providing you with a different, titillating experience with each visit to Rockafella’s.

 

Spit roasts

 

Juicy Roast leg of lamb (On Wednesday Only)– marinated a day in advance with fresh rosemary and garlic then glazed with some olive oil and lemon juice.

Roast pork belly –marinated a day in advance with roasted fennel seeds and red chilli and coarse salt then glazed with olive oil and lemon juice

Golden Roast chicken - marinated with a mild peri-peri spice and honey \ then brushed with an thyme butter during roasting

Succulent Roast beef – marinated a day in advance with bay leaves and mustard then drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice

The spit roasts are all done on a metre long skewer over red hot charcoal for authentic flavour.



Eastern corner

(all meat is Halaal and the food items are prepared separately)

Lamb curry (Served on Wednesday Only)– fresh lamb curry prepared with our Chef’s very own secret combination of spices

Butter chicken – chicken fillet grilled then simmered in a mild and creamy curry sauce, topped with fresh coriander

Lamb briyani – Lamb cubes braised with authentic briyani spices and lentils then layered wit turmeric rice and braised in the oven.

 

Vegetarian Options:

 

Potato and pea aloo – potatoes braised with a turmeric masala then topped with fresh peas and coriander

Beans curry – butter beans sautéed with onions and chillies then braised in a mild exotic tomato chutney

On offer at the eastern corner are all condiments such as various pickles and dhal, banana
and maas, cucumber raiti, fruit chutney, prune chutney, fresh sambals..

 

Vegetables

 

Roasted cinnamon butternut topped with delectable sautéed mushrooms and drizzled with a coriander butter sauce

Oven baked cauliflower and cheese topped with peppadew and creamy feta

Braised broccoli tossed with roasted peppers and fresh mint then drizzled with pine aioli

Traditional braised Zulu cabbage, prepared with enticing cape Malay spices then topped with dumplings

Our vegetables are organic and farm fresh - ideal for preparation of our large variety of vegetarian dishes which are on offer daily

 

 Desserts

 

Zesty lemon & strawberry cheesecake – freshly made lemon cheesecake served with garden fresh strawberries, thick cream and dusted with snow white icing sugar.

Crème caramel trifle – A traditional trifle with a twist, instead of custard we use crème caramel to create beautiful layers. Served with fresh cream and biscuits

Delectable Black forest gateaux – traditional sponge cake with fresh berries, gently drizzled with sticky strawberry syrup and garnished with thick cream and dark chocolate twirls

Duo Mousse éclairs – traditional éclairs filled with an “ebony & ivory” duo of dark chocolate mousse and white chocolate mousse - stacked into a pyramid and glazed with delicate threads of spun sugar .

Caramel rippled malva pudding –traditional malva with caramel ripples, soaked with a light brandy sauce served with thick fresh cream and custard.

Golden Waffles –toasted waffles served with a variety of toppings and cream or ice cream, of which we boast four palate pleasing flavours Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and passion fruit.

For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert island is definitely the place to be. Our pastry chefs will boggle your mind with their unbelievable desserts, freshly prepared on a daily basis.

Our “Theatre of Food” offers four live cooking stations where our expert Chefs will wow you with their cooking techniques - leaving your mouth watering for our great food..

Flame Grilled Chicken – Tender Chicken pieces, flame grilled with your choice of BBQ, Lemon & Herb, Cajun Mayo or Portuguese Peri-Peri basting.

Ocean Fresh Seafood section – We have four selections of fresh fish available daily from dorado ,kob, yellowtail ,hake etc. Our scrumptious calamari is always a favourite and our Chef is readily available to cook up a storm..

Sizzling stir fry section - we have numerous fresh and tasty ingredients for you to create your own masterpiece. Our Chefs will then entertain you with their skills whilst preparing your meal.

Authentic baked pizzas & savoury breads – this section has a large variety of fresh breads, crispy rolls and baguettes for you to choose from. These are baked daily. Our delicious pizzas are created before your eyes, once again adding to our “Theatre of Food” theme. The kids will enjoy this one.
